Our Mantra:
Nuggets will win.
Avs will win.
Denver will win!

The 2024 playoffs for the NBA and NHL are in full swing! While driving to root for your Nuggets and Avalanche is an option, we want to provide you with a full list of transportation options to consider that could save you the frustration of sitting in traffic and some money driving and parking at Ball Arena.

RTD:

Ball Arena sits adjacent to many light rail and bus stations. The E & W light rail lines will take you directly to the Ball Arena/Elitch Gardens Station and beginning on May 26th, the D & H lines will be rerouted to Denver Union Station and will also make stops at this station*. There are also many RTD bus lines that travel through downtown and have stops that will take you either directly, or very close to, Ball Arena. If you are already downtown and plan on grabbing food and drinks prior to the big game, you can hop on the FREE 16th Street MallRide, which will take you within a couple blocks of the arena**. If you need help finding the quickest public transit route to get to the game, make sure you visit the RTD Trip Planner website to make sure you are in your seat in time for opening tip-off or puck drop.

*The D & H lines will be rerouted to Denver Union Station due to the Downtown Rail Reconstruction Project. These lines will return to their original routes in September when construction is complete. For more information, please visit RTD’s website.

**Due to 16th Street Mall construction, the MallRide is currently operating on 15th and 17th Streets.

Bicycle:

Throw your helmet on and ride along one of Denver’s many bikeways to get downtown on game day! Ball Arena lies near the South Platte River Trail, Cherry Creek Trail, and many intracity bike lanes making it easy to cycle to the game. Bike racks at Ball Arena are located directly outside the East Atrium and Grand Atrium, making it easy to bypass traffic and make a quick exit following the final whistle.

E-bike & Scooter Share:

Don’t own a bike or scooter? Not a problem! Download the Lyft or Lime app and take an e-bike or scooter to the game. Just remember to park responsibly in places that do not obstruct pedestrian ways or vehicular traffic.

Carpool:

Carpooling to the game is a great way to spend some extra time with friends and family and reduce the number of vehicles traveling to the Ball Arena. While it may be challenging to avoid pre- and post-game traffic, there are a variety of parking lots to choose from that are close to Ball Arena and can be accessed via Speer Boulevard and Auraria Parkway.

Rideshare:

Planning on ordering a Lyft and Uber to get to the game? Ball Arena has a designated drop-off and pick-up area along Auraria Parkway between 9th and 11th Streets. Because ridesharing is a popular option to get to Nuggets and Avalanche games, it is recommended that you reserve your trip ahead of time to ensure your ride to the arena*. Other rideshare options like Access-a-Ride and other ADA options have a designated drop-off and pick-up location along the roundabout at 9th Street and Chopper Circle.

*We recommend walking to less busy areas after the game before you order your rideshare trip to help save some money and time spent in traffic.
